Why Bharat bandh on 8th December 2020:
Farmers protesting against the Centre’s agricultural sector laws have called for Bharat Bandh today after several rounds of talks with the government over the new farm laws remained inconclusive. Opposition parties, which are in office in Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bengal, Kerala, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Puducherry are backing the bandh.
